CAPE Services

The Center for Academic Planning and Exploration (CAPE) provides personalized services to help undergraduate students like you develop an Action Plan to aid in your major and career decision-making process.

CAPE services include:

  • Coaching
    Integrated, one-on-one academic and career coaching.
  • 1-Credit Course
    OUE 2001, a 1-credit hybrid online course customized to your needs.
  • Workshops
    Day-long intensive exploration workshops, or request a customized workshop for your group.
  • Major Network
    Connect to students declared in majors that interest you.
  • Drop-In Hours
    Meet with a peer coach to begin your major exploration, no appointment needed.
  • Explore House LLC
    Housing community in Territorial Hall designed for first-year students who are exploring majors.

CAPE services are available to currently enrolled undergraduate students from any college on the Twin Cities campus who are undecided on their major, exploring majors across multiple U of M colleges, or planning to apply to a high demand major and want to create a parallel plan.
